Philippine Filipino Detalia Aurora Design Co-Creative Studio Manufacturing

Over the years, our customers frequently ask us the same question - “Why is your production time 60-90 days?” At Co-Creative Studio and Detalia Aurora, we create special products that are not made by machines or large factories - these are all made by hand. We work with highly skilled craftsmen who individually work on each product with dedication to time and quality.

Buyers who know our company and capability understand that there are no shortcuts when it comes to handmade products. They see the complexity and understand the time required for every design. When there is this much range in material and application, the process of creating a single piece requires a number of important steps.

Learn our steps for production and find out why our lead time is 60-90 days!

STEP 1: PREP & PLAN

We have a growing library of designs. Behind every collection is a certain material and talented craftsman who will spend hours with the product. We will need to check the specifications of the order and instruct the right craftsman for the job. Once everything is in order, we begin!

STEP 2: PURCHASING MATERIAL

The designs we have are a mix of materials. Our materials are mostly natural and we only keep a certain few in stock. These materials come from different sources in our contact book. From rattan to metal, buying of materials can also be a lengthy step due to the lead times of our partners.

STEP 3: PRODUCTION TIME

This step is where our craftsmen are now creating the product. Our collections have a certain degree of difficulty which makes them unique to our company and our Philippine culture. Depending on the quantity and complexity of the design, time frame for this step will vary.

STEP 4: QUALITY CONTROL

Because our products are made by hand, quality control is an important step. We have to ensure that the drawings and finishes follow the specifications. Another reason why quality control is important is because of the natural material. Although each material has its own characteristic, we have to control its unique features to achieve the right look. Once ready, this step will involve the approval of the designer, production manager and marketing team.

STEP 5: REPEAT STEP 4!

STEP 6: CAREFUL PACKAGING

When it comes to packaging, we follow our company’s standard operating procedure. This will depend on the fragility of the design as well as buyer’s SOP. We also provide special hang tags that are individually assigned per collection.
